We have recently been asked to build a 60' Morrelli and Melvin of Huntington Beach, CA. The cat will be set up for family cruising, but she will also be awesomely fast! We have been directed to keep her as light and nimble as possible which has become the norm here. We are currently doing the final testing to determine whether to build the hull with pre-preg or SCRIMP infusion methods, either of which would utilize advanced composites such as carbon fiber, Kevlar and E-glass. The owners have just completed the mockup review process in which many changes were made which once again proves what an important tool the mockup is in building a custom boat. She will have a modern interior and straight engine drives. We are really looking forward to screaming around Penobscot Bay on the sea trials!!!!
